Ayesha Omar being health conscious would spend on food rather than classy apparel
(Web Desk) - Some people enjoy saving money and treating themselves to luxury items such as branded shoes or bags, but that’s not Ayesha Omar’s style. She spends her money on her body and health, which could be her secret. She explained to her audience that she does not go on fad diets and that her balanced diet is unprocessed and chemical-free, a concept she wants to introduce in Karachi.
She took to Instagram on Tuesday to share photos of the food she eats and wrote, “No guys. Contrary to popular belief, I do not go hungry, and I do not only eat ghaas phoos [leaves and grass]. I lift weights and lead an active lifestyle. That is not possible without a well-balanced diet. I enjoy eating. I enjoy what I eat. And, well, I eat to live!”
Ms Omar described it as “extremely sad and unfortunate” that there aren’t many places in Pakistan that serve “clean, unprocessed, chemical/hormone/pesticide/toxin free” food made with local produce and ingredients. She went on to say that she is working on a concept with someone to make this a reality in Karachi.
The Bulbulay actor’s diet includes seafood, organic chicken, and lean meat, as well as plenty of vegetables, nuts, seeds, berries, and fruits. “However, I try to avoid processed, overcooked, and definitely junk food, as well as refined sugar, gluten, and dairy. I make an effort to eat only fresh and clean foods. “I cook with coconut oil or desi ghee,” she explained, adding that she is “deeply grateful” to be able to afford high-quality organic vitamins and supplements. “Most of my earnings go into travelling and procuring good quality food and supplements. I’m not interested in expensive branded shoes and bags. “I’d rather spend my money on my body and my health.”
“One should consume 60-70 per cent raw food (keeping the gorgeous colours of nature intact), making our plates look beautiful,” she said of her travel diet.
