India blocks Pakistani video-streaming platform over national security concerns
MUMBAI (Web Desk) – India on Tuesday blocked access t steaming platform Vidly TV country-wide after it released a Pakistani web series “Sevak-The Confessions”.
Ministry of Information and Broadcasting while invoking its emergency powers under the IT rules, 2021 stated the series is “detrimental to national security, sovereignty and integrity of India, defence of India, security of the State, and public order in the country”.
Three episodes of the series have been released so far showing stories of Indian extremism from 1984 till 2022.
