Amitabh Bachans wax figure has been put on display at Madame Tussauds museum Bangkok.
Indian’s highest paid actor Amitabh Bachchan is now officially the first Bollywood star to have his very own wax figure produced and Southeast Asia’s first location of the world’s best loved wax museum.The ceremony was attended by several Thailand’s film and fashion industries prominent personalities. The chief guest of the ceremony was Madame Tussauds branch manager in Thailand. He said that the unveiling of the wax figure would provide entertainment to the Indian community in Thailand.A famed actor, producer and presenter, Amitabh Bachchan made his name from Bollywood movies in the ‘70s like Anand (1971), Zanjeer (1973) and Deewar (1975). He has, to his credit, three National Film Awards and twelve Filmfare awards.Bachchan had at least one hit movie every year for fifteen consecutive years from 1972 to 1986. His soft, booming voice is most memorable by all. Bachchan has lent his voice to or starred in over 100 Indian movies. In 2007, he starred in his first English-language movie titled The Last Lear. It was premiered at Toronto International Film Festival and is now regarded as one of his best performances of all time.
