MUMBAI (Web Desk) - Bollywood renowned actor Akshay Kumar took to twitter and apologosed for violating the code of conduct for the Indian national flag.

His tweet came after he uploaded a picture of himself holding the tricolour upside down while cheering for the Indian women cricket team at the finals of the ICC Women’s World Cup 2017.

As soon as the image got uploaded, he was widely criticized and slammed for the violation. However, he apologized later and removed the picture from his twitter account.

Indian lost to England in the finals but the actor did not move out heartbroken. Instead, he met the team personally and shared smiles on their faces.

Prioe to the match, the actor posted a video of himself running expressing his excitement for the finals.

Akshay Kumar is a diehard patriotic not only in films but in real life too. He often spends time with Indian army and has also introduced ‘Bharat Ke Veer’ app, which raises funds for the lives of army men and martyrs.
