At the heart of the exhibition are two guitar sculptures: one made of ferrous sheet metal and wire created in 1914 and another made of fragile paperboard, paper, string, and painted wire created in 1913. Both guitars were donated to the museum by Pablo Picasso. Also part of the exhibition, are dozens of paintings and drawings featuring guitars including, Bar Table with Guitar and Guitar and Cup of Coffee.
