Shahrukh Khan turns 48

Bollywood star Shahrukh Khan is celebrating his 48th birthday today (Saturday).
MUMBAI (Agencies) - The Badshah of Bollywood Shahrukh Khan turns 48 today. Hailed from a non-filmy background, Shahrukh Khan dominates the silver screen with his charisma. He is touted as the lover boy of Bollywood. He delivered many hit love stories and audience considered him a romantic hero. Shahrukh is spontaneous, friendly, romantic and highly entertaining. His presence of mind is tremendous and above all he is the darling of girls.
He is the first actor in Bollywood who made his way to silver screen via small screen and made it so big. Shahrukh Khan, pursued a Masters Degree in Mass Communication in Jamia Milia Islamia and went to became an actor. Shahrukh Khan’s deepest sorrow is the early death of his parents. His father Taj Mohammed Khan died when he was just 15 and mother Lateef Fatima died after prolonged illness in 1990. He regrets that his parents could not see his success. Khan also has an elder sister Shehnaz who lives with him.
Shahrukh Khan married his college friend Gauri Chibber way back in 1991 and the couple is blessed with three children, Aryan, Suhana and AbRam.
Shahrukh Khan’s first TV offering was ‘Dil Dariya’ but due to the delay in the post production, ‘Fauji’ came first. Shahrukh was hugely liked by the audience. Then he appeared in ‘Circus’. His first film offer is Hema Malini’s ‘Dil Aashna Hai’ but due to production delay, ‘Deewana’ hit the theatre first.
His success trend started with ‘Baazigar’, ‘Darr’ where he played a negative role. Shahrukh Khan’s hit list is never ending. He has many hit films under his name and won several awards.
