Bipasha Basu dropped from Freedom
Bipasha Basu has been dropped from an upcoming film, Freedom, directed by Vivek Agnihotri.
MUMBAI (Web Desk) - Bipasha Basu’s last release, Aatma, bombed at the box office. The bad run continues for the actor as she has just been dropped from an upcoming film, Freedom, directed by Vivek Agnihotri. The latter will now cast a fresh face in place of the actor.
“I was in talks with Bipasha for thefilm. But later, I realised that since the film in based on the current social and political situation in India, I should cast actors that represent the youth and not stars. Only young and fresh faces will be able to do justice to the characters,” explains Vivek.
He further justifies his decision saying that it will promote upcoming talent. “I was teaching at the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad. I realised that all the students are innovators. But unfortunately, in our country, no one has the guts to give a chance to inexperienced people. I am nurturing innovation by giving opportunities to new talent,” says Vivek.
However, the director hopes to make a film with Bipasha in the near future. “There is absolutely no problem between Bipasha and me. Given a chance, I will surely cast her in one of my films in the future,” he says.

Lately, rumours about Bipasha debuting in a Bhojpuri film were doing the rounds. Reportedly, the actor is being cast opposite actor-singer Manoj Tiwari in the film. Tiwari was even quoted by a daily publication saying that the actress had given her nod to the film, titled, Kashi.
