OKARA (Dunya News) - Police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested four suspected robbers after ‘encounters’ in two incidents in Okara and Bahawalnagar.
In the first shootout taken place on Randraka Road, three alleged bandits were arrested after they got injuries, whereas their three accomplices managed to escape. Police claimed that the arrested outlaws were injured from the firing of their own accomplices.
The injured bandits have been identified as Ghulam Farid, Shehar Yar and Niaz Farid. According to police, the arrested robbers were involved in 49 cases of heinous crimes. Stolen cattle, arms and valuables have been seized. Police started a search for tracking down the fleeing outlaws.
In Sadr police area of Bahawalnagar, an alleged bandit was arrested after he sustained injuries in an exchange of fire with police. His two accomplices escaped. The nabbed outlaw was involved in robbery and snatching. Police were raiding to arrest his fleeing accomplices.
