Robber killed, accomplice injured by citizen in Karachi

KARACHI (Dunya News) - An alleged robber was killed at the hands of a citizen during a robbery attempt in Defence View, near a private university here on Monday.
His one accomplice sustained injuries, and the other escaped. According to police, three alleged bandits were looting citizens on a road when a passerby opened a fire, killing a bandit on the spot, and injuring the other. Their third accomplice escaped.
Initial police report suggests that the alleged robbers were history-sheeters and involved in several cases of robbery. Police have recovered weapons, bullets, six mobile phones and looted valuables from the injured and the dead outlaws.
The injured robber was sent to hospital. He was identified as Nadeem, whereas the identity of the dead robber could not ascertained. Further investigation was under way.
