LAHORE (Dunya news) – Two robbers were killed and their four accomplices escaped after an alleged encounter with police in Shadbagh here on Monday, Dunya News reported.

Police claimed the two outlaws identified as Qasim and Riaz were killed in the firing by their own accomplices.

According to the police, six people riding two motorcycles were given a signal to stop by the law enforcers standing on a security barrier, but the outlaws instead of complying with the police order started firing.

Police responded effectively and silenced their guns. After the exchange fire, police searched the area and found two robbers dead, who police claimed were killed by the firing of their own accomplices.

Police have launched a search operation to arrest their four accomplices who fled the scene after killing their own accomplices.

The law enforcers seized a rifle which they claimed the outlaws had snatched from a policeman, and motorcycle, which they used for committing crimes.

According to the police, the dead robbers were history-sheeters and involved in many heinous crimes.

Police after shifting the dead bodies to hospital for autopsy have started an investigation into the matter.
