Man who drowned his four kids in canal killed in police 'encounter'

Police claim the under-custody accused was killed in the firing of his two accomplices
LAHORE (Dunya News) – The man who drowned his four children in a canal a few weeks ago was killed in a police encounter, police claimed.
Muhammad Azeem was in police custody and being interrogated about the quadruple murder.
He was being escorted by police to canal in Kasur, where he had thrown his four kids when his two accomplices opened fire on police, killing Azeem.
Police chased the attackers to arrest them but they made good their escape.
Three bodies had been retrieved from the canal by Rescue 1122 but the fourth one could not be recovered despite a four-day rescue operation.
