Girl's rape: Narowal DC penalised for dereliction of duty

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Taking exception to the rape incident in Narowal, caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi has made the Narowal deputy commissioner officer on special duty (OSD) for neglecting his duties, giving warning that such behaviour of government officials is intolerable.
It should be noted that after the incident the deputy commissioner did not reach the spot to console the victim’s family despite the clear instructions of the CM.
The official had left the city without permission and went to another city on official duty.
Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi took strict action and immediately made the deputy commissioner an OSD.
The minor girl was subjected to rape by some unidentified outlaws. Investigation into the incident is going on.
Police are collecting forensic evidence to arrest the suspects.
