AHMEDPUR SHARQIA (Dunya News) – Three members of a family lost their lives when two robbers opened indiscriminate fire at them for putting resistance in Azeemwala area here on Saturday night, Dunya News reported.
The victims were identified as Mukhtar, Qadeer and Rubina.
Two burglars broke into a house and were about to leave after collecting cash and valuables when the family head and his wife raised hue and cry and attempted to catch them.
In panic, the fleeing bandits opened fire. As a result, the family head, Mukhtar, his wife Rubina and their seven-year-old son Qadeer died on the spot.
Their six-year-old daughter, who was standing nearby, came under the fire and sustained bullet injuries.
The deceased and the injured were sent to hospital.
On being alerted to the gruesome triple murder, the area police reached the crime scene and after cordoning off the area started investigation.
Evidence were being collected and statements from people living near the victims’ house were being recorded.
Police after forming a team launched a search operation to track down the robbers.
Panic and fear sweep through the area following the murder.
Area people voiced concern over the killing of the three people and rising crimes in the vicinity and demanded the police high-ups to control crimes.
