Police probe ‘rare’ incident of acid throwing by robbers
KARACHI (Dunya News) – A 14-year-old boy sustained burns in an attempt to thwart a robbery bid at his house near Hab police post here on Thursday.
The victim identified as Rehman was in his house when two robbers broke into the house, and collected valuables from the house.
When they were about to leave, Rehman resisted, and attempted to retake his valuables, but the burglars threw acid on him. As a result, he was burnt.
The victim told the police that the robbers had a dagger and a bottle of acid.
Police were investigating this rare incident in which burglars used acid as their weapon to fend off resistances from their victim.
