Cop martyred, three dacoits killed in Pindi 'encounter'

RAWALPINDI (Web Desk) - A constable was martyred and three suspected dacoits were killed in exchange of fire between the police and the dacoits in the suburbs of the city on late Sunday night.
The martyred policeman identified as Adeel Zafar was appointed at police station Dahmiyal.
Two policemen were also injured in the ‘encounter’. On a tiff-off that some dacoits were present in Bahria Town and planning to loot people, Dahmiyal police conducted a raid in the area to arrest them.
On seeing the police party, the dacoits opened fire on them, killing a policeman and wounding other two policemen.
As police responded effectively, three dacoits were killed on the spot.
