KARACHI (Web Desk) – The Sindh police on Thursday submitted a bi-annual report of the Katcha operation to the Inspector General Police (IGP) on Thursday, claiming arrest of 208 robbers during the operation in the last three months.
According to police sources, the operation is being carried in the Katcha areas of Ghotki, Kashmore, and Sukkur districts.
The report stated that the police killed five dacoits and arrested four injured in 63 encounters in Ghotki, whereas eight dacoits were killed and 27 others injured during 53 encounters in Sukkur.
The report further revealed that the police in 42 operations in Kashmore district killed six dacoits and arrested three injured, while six criminals were arrested during 31 encounters in Shikarpur.
Cumulatively 208 robbers were arrested and 30 citizens were rescued from honey traps over a tenure of three months, the police report concluded.
