Noor Muqaddam murder case: Police incompetence exposed

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The incompetence of the police in the Noor Muqaddam murder case has come to light. The interrogation was completed during which another mistake of the investigating officer became highlighted.

According to details, Noor Muqaddam murder case was heard in District and Sessions Court. Zahir Jaffar and other accused were presented in the court.

Investigating officer Abdul Sattar told the court that crime scene in-charge Mohammad Imran did not seize the laptop. Witness Mudassar Aleem s statement was not recorded in the entire case.

Therapy Works lawyer Akram Qureshi completed cross-examination of the investigating officer, after which plaintiff Babar Hayat s lawyer requested that the hearing be conducted on camera.

Lawyer Shehzad Qureshi said that he wanted to play the footage and see when the Therapy Works employees came, after which a video was played during the hearing. On this occasion, journalists and unrelated persons were sent out of the court room.

During the hearing, Sajjad Bhatti, lawyer of accused Iftikhar, Mohammad Jan and Jameel also cross-examined the investigating officer.

The investigating officer said in his statement that the accused Iftikhar, Mohammad Jan and Jameel did not compare their facial identities and no eyewitness of the case came forward. The hearing of the case has been adjourned till February 2.
