Karachi: DSP shot in leg for resisting robbery
KARACHI (Dunya News) - In a firing incident, Deputy superintendent of police (DSP) got injured who was returning from Nawabshah with his family near Gulistan-e-Jauhar.
The police sources told that the incident took place on resistance by the DSP during a robbery attempt, upon resistance the robbers opened fire at the DSP and threatened his family as well.
During the robbery, the accused took cash and gold jewellery from the women, police said.
Furthermore, while resisting robbery the DSP was shot in the leg after which the culprits managed to escape successfully.
However, an FIR of the incident was registered and police teams are searchig for the criminals.
Further investigations into the matter are underway.
