Rangers, police launch joint operation against drug peddlers in North Nazimabad

KARACHI (Dunya News) - In a joint operation led by rangers and police, seven suspects of drug trafficking gang have been arrested in Katti Pahari and Rashidabad, Karachi.

The accused involved have been identified as Abdul Qayyum, Manzoor Ahmed, Pehlwan, Janat Gul and a rickshaw driver Arshad.

Rangers spokesman said 27 kg of drugs were recovered from the possession of rickshaw driver.

Moreover, one accused who is identified as Khalid as known as Sher Dil runs a drug business in Peshawar.

It has been revealed that money is sent to Khalid through bank account of Hawala Hundi network, Karachi and the accused supply drugs in different areas of Karachi.

Spokespersons of Rangers further said that rangers and police are conducting raids to arrest other accomplices of the accused.

The accused have been handed over to police for further legal action.
