500 grams of pure gold worth more than Rs4.8 million recovered

KARACHI (Dunya News) - Customs officials in Karachi foiled an attempt to smuggle gold by conducting an operation at Jinnah Terminal in Karachi International Airport.

According to customs officials, pure gold was recovered from a passenger coming to Pakistan. The Pakistani passenger had reached Karachi on Qatar Airways flight QR604.

According to Deputy Collector Customs Inam Wazir, 500 grams of pure gold worth more than Rs4.8 million was recovered from the passenger. The passenger was hiding gold biscuits in his pants pockets. A case has been registered and the passenger has been arrested.
