Lahore: Police investigation reveals 7-year-old girl raped after murder
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Police investigation into the murder of 7-year-old girl in Sundar, an area on the outskirts of Lahore, has revealed that she was raped after her murder. Both the accused have been arrested.
According to details, a 7-year-old girl named Ayesha was abducted in Sundar area of Lahore yesterday and her case was registered in Sundar police station. Police have arrested accused Rizwan Yousuf and Allah Dutta in a timely manner. Rizwan Yusuf confessed to the crime and said that his intention was bad.
DIG Investigation Lahore Sharq Jamal Khan while addressing a press conference said that the girl was raped after the murder, the accused s accomplice was present during the incident, the accused has been arrested along with his accomplice.
DIG Investigation said that the police solved the traumatic case, the accused confessed to the crime, there are witnesses who saw the accused taking the girl, the accused took the girl from home and the people saw the girl being taken away.
Sharq Jamal Khan further said that no weapon was used in the incident, the girl was strangled to death. The accused had thrown the body of the girl in the pool to cover up the crime. The accused Rizwan Yousuf and Allah Dutta had fled after the heinous crime. He said that the accused will be brought to justice.
On the other hand, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar took notice of the incident and demanded a report from CCPO Lahore Umar Sheikh. He also ordered strict legal action against the arrested accused.
The Chief Minister said that the accused will not be able to escape punishment. He assured the affected family of justice at all costs. He also expressed his heartfelt sympathy and condolences to the family of the girl.
