Ferozwala: Minor girl killed in aerial firing during wedding ceremony
FEROZWALA (Dunya News) - A minor girl has been killed and two women got injured due to aerial firing in a wedding ceremony in Vandala Nasir area of Ferozwala.
According to police, the girl killed in the aerial firing has been identified as Iman Fatima. The injured women include the groom s mother Naseem Bibi and another woman Saima Bibi. The injured have been shifted to Mayo Hospital, Lahore for treatment.
On the other hand, DPO Sheikhupura, while taking notice of the aerial firing at the wedding ceremony, ordered immediate arrest of the accused and action against them.
According to eyewitnesses, in the wedding ceremony youths had been drinking alcohol and they started firing indiscriminately in the air, killing a 10-year-old girl on the spot while injuring two other women.
As soon as the incident was reported, a heavy contingent of police rushed to the spot but groom fled the scene. Police have formed teams to search for the accused.
