SC acquits murder accused over insufficient evidence

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Supreme Court (SC) on Tuesday acquitted a murder accused over insufficient evidence.

The man Abdur Rehman was accused of murdering his wife and son in Islamabad in 2004.

SC remarked that the prosecution does not have any proof except his alleged confession.

Legal requirements were not fulfilled in the confession made in front of the magistrate, the court added.

According to Advocate General, the event seems to be the result of a domestic dispute.
