England's Monty Panesar excuses from participating in KPL due to BCCI threat

(Dunya News) – Former England spinner Monty Panesar has excused himself from participating in upcoming Kashmir Premier League (KPL) due to threats from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

In a post on social-networking website Twitter, Monty, who was born in Luton to Indian Sikh parents, stated, “I have decided not to participate in the KPL because of the political tensions between India and Pakistan over Kashmir issues.”

“I don’t want to be in the middle of this, it would make me feel uncomfortable,” he added.

Sources told that BCCI is continuously threatening that the players who will take part in the KPL will not be allowed to enter the country or work in Indian cricket at any level.
