Unfit Umar Akmal returns home
Akmal left the airport without talking to media.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Middle order batsman Umar Akmal has Monday returned to Pakistan after being dropped from the Champions Trophy squad owing to poor fitness.
Akmal arrived at Allama Iqbal International Airport via private airline’s flight No EK-624 from Dubai, and departed for home without talking to media.
It is worth mentioning here that Umar Akmal was a part of Pakistan national team for Champions Trophy that is scheduled to begin from June 1, but was dropped from the team due to poor physical form.

According to details, Akmal failed two fitness tests in England, and was therefore sent back to Pakistan. Haris Sohail has replaced him in the team.
Let it be known that this is not the first time that Umar Akmal has been dropped from the team due to bad fitness. He was earlier eliminated from West Indies tour as well for the same reason.

Just a day after Umar Akmal was declared unfit and was dropped from the national cricket team, a clip of him dancing with a female companion became viral on media, proving that he may not be fit to play cricket, but he is in the perfect physical form to have a dance.
Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Shahryar Khan also responded to Akmal’s behavior and said the board is fed-up of his activities.
