(Dunya News) – From the return of the Sri Lankan cricket team to Pakistani grounds to the winning of the Champions Trophy by the Men in Green, the year 2017 was nothing short of an eventful year for cricket.
The year 2017 has been a successful cricketing year for Pakistan with not just the team performing well, but also marking the return of international cricket to Pakistani grounds much to the joy and excitement of crowds in a country that has been deprived of the much loved sport due to the security situation.
The Pakistani team managed to win a Test series in West Indies for the first time. With the holding of the PSL final and the tour of World XI to Pakistan, the return of the Sri Lankan team after the 2009 attack in Lahore brought with it the good news of the sport finally returning to the country.
The year was also marked the retirements of skipper Misbah ul Haq and batsman Younis Khan, who scored a whopping 10, 000 runs.
