Spot fixing scandal: Muhammad Irfan records statement to PCB's ACU
The three-member tribunal of PCB will hold the hearing from next week in suspended cricketers case
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan’s fast bowler Muhammad Irfan on Monday presented before the the Pakistan Cricket Board’s Anti-Corruption Unit (ACU) as he also records his statement meanwhile.
Sources revealed that the fast bowler admits to have contacted the bookie. Muhammad Irfan, however, was of the opinion that owing to the mental stress that he was facing after his parent’s death, the team management and anti-corruption officials couldn’t be informed regards to the matter.
On the other hand, one of the alleged characters of PSL spot-fixing scandal Shahzaib Hasan will also appear before the PCB’s Anti Corruption Unit on Tuesday.
It has also been reported that the three-member tribunal of PCB will hold the hearing from next week in suspended cricketers’ case.
While talking to media, PCB Chairman Shehryar Khan revealed that no evidences of spot fixing could be obtained against Muhammad Irfan and Shahzaib Hassan.
He let it be known that the decision as to issuing the charge-sheet would be made after completing the investigation process.
