As the match entered into a nail-biting phase in the last five overs, all eyes were fixed on the match as the number of balls and runs required were chasing each others at every moment. It was Muhammad Nawaz who bowled Elliot in the 17th over after the batsman contributed 26 runs in the total. On the last ball of the same over, Narine hit a massive six while causing huge frustration in Quetta’s ranks. The new-comer Bilawal Bhatti also got run out in the 18th over. A huge blow to Qalandars came in the sixth over when Umar Akmal was caught in an effort to clear the mid-off fielder of the bowling of Anwar Ali. On the very first ball of the eight over, Hasan Khan removed Rizwan as he trapped the batsman plumb in front of the stumps. The joy of Sir Viv Richards was the eye-popping moment of the match. It seemed like Qalandars was trapped under the weird spin attack of Quetta Gladiators as runs were difficult to get of the attack. Fakhar Zaman’s run out in the tenth over added further to the miseries of Lahore Qalandars. At half-way along the path, half of the Qalandars were back in the pavilion.
