PERTH (AFP) - South Africa produced a stunning comeback on the second day of the first Test against Australia at the WACA Ground in Perth on Friday.

In reply to South Africa’s 242, Australia were dismissed for 244 for a lead of just two after losing all 10 wickets for only 86 runs.

In their second innings, South Africa were 104-2 at stumps, an overall lead of 102.

Opener David Warner top-scored for Australia with 97, while South African paceman Dale Steyn left the field with a recurrence of a shoulder injury, but Vernon Philander picked up 4-56.
