Sir Vivian Richards expected to be Pakistan's interim batting coach
The great Viv had come as a mentor for Quetta Gladiators and has become Pakistan's favourite
LAHORE: (Dunya News, Web Desk) – West Indies legend Sir Vivian Richards, who had introduced the aggressive style of batting in the slow cricketing era of the 60’s and 70’s, is now being considered by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) as Pakistan’s interim batting coach. Viv had come as a mentor for Quetta Gladiators in Pakistan Super League (PSL) and has now become favourite for Pakistan’s next batting coach, reported Dunya News.
Vivian Richards had been appointed as the mentor of Quetta Gladiators in the PSL but became so entrenched into the Sarfraz-XI that even Head Coach Moin Khan seemed to have been forgotten.
In the meantime, Richards expressed the desire to coach Pakistan and when his team topped the ranking chart of PSL, he became Pakistan’s favourite for batting coach position as well.
