Punjab govt resolves Ajmal's land issue, permits to run cricket academy

FAISALABAD (Dunya News) – Chief Minister of Punjab (CM) Shahbaz Sharif on Tuesday has resolved the issue of Saeed Ajmal cricket academy in Faisalabad.

According to details, the CM directed law minister Rana Sanaullah to resolve the matter after which, the minister contacted Vice Chancellor of Agriculture University, District Coordination Officer (DCO) and off-spinner Saeed Ajmal.

Reportedly, the concerning people signed an agreement, stating that the land will remain be on University’s name while the star player will continue training new cricketers in his academy.

Ajmal said that he is thankful to Punjab government for unbiased decision but he also urged to sign the MoU after the settlement of all the issues.

Moreover, Rana Sanaullah lauded Dunya News for highlighting the issue.

Earlier, star Pakistani off-spinner Saeed Ajmal’s land for cricket academy was confiscated on Sunday.

Agricultural University notified about confiscation of the land. Ajmal, who has recently received a show cause notice from Pakistan Cricket Board, said that he did not accept this decision as he has already invested millions of rupees on this academy.

He further said that he will protest against this decision on November 11.
