Younis Khan averages 53.71 in 100 Test matches with 29 centuries and 29 half-centuries

(Web Desk) -- Younis Khan is considered one of the modern greats of Test cricket and one of the best Test batsman to emerge out of the Pakistani dressing room to date.

With a staggering average of above 50 in exactly 100 Tests, Khan has shown performance par excellence over more than 15 years in the international arena.

Gritty, resilient and often the rear vanguard of the Pakistani batting line-up, Younis Khan has shown his best during times of adversity, a fact evident by statistics; among players with 1000 or more fourth-innings Test runs, his average is among the highest.

Younis hammered New Zealand in their home ground as he scored 149 not out in swinging conditions at Auckland, 2001. Pakistan drubbed New Zealand for a record victory in the match.

Younis Khan stands at 8600 runs, at third place in highest test run getters for Pakistan. He trails only by 232 runs from the top scorer, Javed Miandad.
