Pakistan need 90 to win after Yasir Shah's magical spell

GALLE (AFP) - Pakistan need 90 runs to win the first Test after they bowled Sri Lanka for 206 in their second innings just before tea on the fifth day in Galle on Sunday.
Leg-spinner Yasir Shah finished with a career-best seven for 76 as the hosts folded up in 77.1 overs after starting the day at 63-2.
Pakistan have the entire post-tea session to get the runs and take the lead in the three-match series.
After resuming from the overnight score of 63-2, Sri Lankans wiped out the 117-run first-innings deficit but slow progress in the session — with the team scoring less than three runs an over — showed that avoiding defeat was the priority rather than trying to manufacture a win.
Earlier, the test match started on the second day after the first day was washed out by rain. Sri-lanka batted first and put up a total of 300 runs. Pakistan had a shaky start to their first innings after the top order failed to score big. The innings was rescued by Sarfaraz Ahmed 96 off 86 balls) and Asad Shafiq (131 off 253), followed by Zulfiqar Babar who scored a quick fire 50 too.
