KARACHI (Dunya News – The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has finalised the designs for new currency notes, according to Governor Jameel Ahmed.

Speaking at a press conference in Karachi where he also announced that the interest rate would remain unchanged, the governor said the process of launching new currency notes was already underway.

He confirmed that a design created by an international expert has been selected.

“We’ve picked a new design, and once we get the go-ahead from the federal cabinet, we’ll get the ball rolling on the new notes,” Governor Jameel said.
