Defense budget can be increased if needed: Hafeez Sheikh
Federal Finance Minister Hafeez Sheikh said that the government has taken some critical decisions for the betterment of economy. He said that defense budget can be increased if needed. Addressing the industrialists in Karachi, Sheikh said that it was necessary to approach IMF in the wake of current financial crunch and steps taken by the government have contained inflation. He said that all decisions would be taken after taking into confidence all the stake holders. He said problems will further aggravate due to reversal of oil prices. He said that cut in expenses was vital for progress. He said provinces have more resources under NFC award. He said that the government has collected Rs 12 billion under tax re-fund.
