Supreme Court has exempted Rehman Malik from appearing in the court in person for the hearing of his contempt of court case, Dunya News reported today.During the hearing of Pakistan Still Mills (PSM) corruption case, Justice Javed Iqbal remarked the PSM corruption is the biggest dacoity, adding that the culprits be taken to task.A three-judge bench, headed by Justice Javed Iqbal, heard the PSM corruption case and contempt of court against Rehman Malik. Dismissing the FIA report, the court said that former chairman Moeen Aftab was not the only one to be held accountable regarding this case.Rehman argued in the court that to change the inquiry against him was an honest decision; however, he added that he would leave everything to the court if any misunderstanding were emerged. Justice Sair Ali asked Rehman to confess to the commission of his crime.Upon this, Rehman filed his second reply in his defence after consultation with the attorney general.The court ordered Rehman to look into the issue of appointment of a convicted Riaz Sheikh into FIA.The court also cancelled the bails of those allegedly involved in PSM corruption case.The case has been adjourned sine die.
