WASHINGTON (Dunya News) - US President Donald Trump has said Iran is no longer a “bully” in the Middle East, claiming that Tehran is now limited to making statements rather than taking concrete action.
In a statement posted on social media, Trump claimed that the United States has full control of the Strait of Hormuz and intends to maintain that control.
He said the US naval blockade was being described by many as an “iron wall,” while claiming that Iran no longer has a navy or air force and that Iranian military personnel were not receiving their salaries.
Trump also claimed that Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) had been destroyed and that its personnel were fleeing, while describing the situation facing Iran’s leadership as highly uncertain and deteriorating.

The US president further claimed that Iran was running out of money, that the country was in a state of devastation and that inflation had reached as high as 300 percent.
According to Trump, Iran was now resorting to spreading “fake news” and no longer had the capacity to take meaningful action.
Meanwhile, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian held a telephone conversation with Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi, saying Tehran does not seek instability in the region and blaming US and Israeli actions for undermining regional peace and stability.
Pezeshkian said US and Israeli attacks had resulted in the deaths of Iran’s Supreme Leader, civilians and children at a school in Minab.
He also accused the attacks of destroying civilian infrastructure.
