TEHRAN (Web Desk) - A rare video recording images of Iran's Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has just been released, but the time and location of recording are not yet clear.
Iran's semi-official Mehr news agency today published a rare video recording Iranian Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei on the Telegram platform.
In the video, Ayatollah Khamenei appeared with some people and seemed to be chatting with people around him.
Mehr did not specify the time, location of recording as well as the identities of those who appeared with him.
The announcement by Iranian media of new images of Mojtaba Khamenei attracted attention in the context that images and public information about the Iranian supreme leader are still relatively limited.

This is also one of the rare videos that the country's media has published directly about him since he was chosen to assume the position of supreme leader.
On February 28, the US and Israel launched coordinated attacks on Tehran and several other Iranian cities, killing Iran's then supreme leader, Ali Khamenei, and several senior military commanders and civilians.
Iran then responded with multiple missile and drone launches targeting US and Israeli bases and facilities in the region.

In early March, Mojtaba Khamenei, son of the late Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, was chosen by the Iranian Council of Experts as the new supreme leader of this country.
The Council of Experts is the body responsible for selecting Iran's supreme leader.
Mojtaba Khamenei's succession to his father takes place in the context of Iran facing serious security and military developments.
