According to media reports, the call came as the United States and Israel remain in close coordination over developments related to Iran, the war in Gaza, and the broader regional security situation.
Diplomatic sources said the expected meeting is likely to focus on key regional issues, including Iran, the Gaza conflict, efforts to secure a ceasefire and the release of hostages, as well as bilateral defence cooperation.
The planned meeting follows recent media reports suggesting tensions had emerged between Trump and Netanyahu in recent weeks.
However, both leaders later dismissed those claims, insisting that communication and cooperation between them remain strong.
