EU rejects Hungary's ban on Ukrainian wheat etc
(Web Desk) - The European Union has rejected Hungary's ban on the import of grains, sugar, fruits, vegetables, oilseeds, dairy products, and meats from Ukraine.
In a statement, the EU spokesperson said that no member country can devise its own policy.
Following in the footsteps of Poland, Hungary, which is also a member of the European Union, has also made the decision to prohibit the import of food products from Ukraine. Additionally, Hungary has implemented a ban on Ukraine's exports. The PM's office in Poland has stated that the purpose of the ban is to safeguard their agricultural market from instability. On the other hand, Hungary has claimed that due to the European Union's lack of targeted measures and the presence of low-quality products from Ukraine, the introduction of the provisional ban was virtually necessary.
Earlier, the farmers of some union member countries also showed concerns for import of the Ukrainian wheat and other commodities.
