(Web desk)- In another appalling incident of of state extremism, a Muslim woman was asked to remove her burqa at a rally attended by India s Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in Baila area.

The local news channel reported that woman was a BJP worker.

A video-- posted by ANP on its twitter account—show three policewomen standing next to burqa-clad woman.

Watch the shocking video.

Ballia Superintendent of Police Anil Kumar said he had not been informed that a woman was asked to remove her burqa.

However, "there were instructions" that no one should "show black cloth" to Adityanath, Kumar was quoted as saying by ANI. “Whatever you are mentioning will be probed and action will be taken”, added Balia SP.

Since Modi’s rise to power, India has witnessed a whooping rise in violence against Muslims with armed Hindu-groups lynching Muslims merely on suspicions of beef meat.

It is pertinent to mention here that the extremist UP CM is staunch advocate of Hindutva who practices anti-Muslim rhetoric to divert attention from real issues like poverty and corruption.
