Meenakshi slipped and drowned in sea while trying to take selfie with mother, sister

(Web Desk) – A 21-year-old engineering student in Mumbai was reportedly trying to take a selfie with her mother and sister before she slipped and drowned in the sea.

She was studying bachelorette in engineering. The woman wanted to pose in front of the sea with her mother and sister.

The tragic incident happened on Monday. According to police officials, she was helped by fire brigade men and local fisherman when she was drowning, but everything happened so quickly and they were too late to save her life.

Meenakshi was from Tamil Nadu and had come to visit Mumbai with family. The family rented a car and came to visit Bandra fort when the unfortunate incident occurred.

Selfie has become a part of our lives. It is an amusing but dangerous activity under unlikely circumstances. Many tourist spots now have signs advising tourists not to take selfies at dangerous places.

Meenakshi was declared dead by the doctors as soon as she arrived at the hospital. She was hit by a wave before drifting into the sea. Police called it an accidental death.
