NEW DELHI (Dunya News) – Indian Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi once again maintained his penchant for greeting his fellow leaders on social media website Twitter but this time, he made a faux pas after mistakenly wishing Afghanistan’s President Ashraf Ghani Happy Birthday three months earlier.

PM took to the Twitter to greet Afghanistan president Ashraf Ghani ‘a happy birthday’. He posted “Happy birthday @ashrafghani. Praying for your long life and exceptional health”.

Responding to which, the Afghan president thanked him and corrected him by saying that his birthday is on May 19.

This gaffe might happen due to Ashraf Ghani’s default Google profile which listed his birthday as February 12, 1949.

The Afghan leader is currently in Munich to speak at the 2016 Security Conference on combating Islamic State.
