British Zoo announces the birth of "tiny" Goeldi's monkey
(Web Desk) – The British zoo informed a birth of a tiny Goeldi monkey weighing almost the same as a golf ball which is very unusual.
The Newquay zoo in Cornwell, England said the first-born to parents Rina and Max, born in November is still unnamed.
The zoo owners said that these monkeys are found in the Amazon regions of Bolivia, Brazil, Columbia, Ecuador, and Peru. The baby is roaming around exploring the world on its mother’s back since it does not know how to walk.
They further said that the baby is completely healthy and seems to be very curious about food and will continue clinging to its mother’s back.
The baby monkey weighed between 1.5 to 2.2 ounces nearly the size of a golf ball, and grow up to be 9 inches tall.
