10-year-old boy passes class 10 examinations
(Web Desk) - A ten-year-old boy has passed the Class 10 examination in Uttar Pradesh Board, India securing 79 per cent marks. The child prodigy, Rashtram Aditya Sri Krishna, secured special permission to appear in the Class 10 examination.
Aditya, who will turn 11 on October 17 this year, scored 82 marks in Hindi, 83 in English, 64 in mathematics, 76 in science, 84 in social science and 86 in Arts.
Seeing his extraordinary talent, the UP Secondary Education Board (UPSEB), in 2019, had given him special permission after which he was enrolled in Class 9 at the MD Shukla Inter College in Lucknow.
This is the second time when UPSEB has allowed a comparatively younger child to appear for Class 10 board examinations.
Earlier, child prodigy Sushma Verma had enrolled in Class 9 at the tender age of five. She became the country s youngest matriculate in 2007 when she passed the UP Board examination. The board rules say a student needs to be at least 14 years of age to appear in Class 10 board exams but these children have been exceptions.
