GUJRANWALA (Dunya) - A man was arrested moments before second marriage in Sialkot for non-payment of monthly expenses to his ex-wife.
Accused Adnan married an orphan girl named Afshan and divorced her after birth of a child. Afshan filed a suit against Adnan in 2016 but her ex-husband did not appear in court and was declared a fugitive.
Yesterday, Adnan came to Sialkot from Karachi for his second marriage. On Afshan s information and on the order of Senior Civil Judge Family Division Sialkot, he was arrested from the marriage hall during the marriage.
It has been reported that the groom did not had the amount of Rs 200,000 to pay his ex-wife, his new in-laws collected the required amount and paid to police to get he released from custody.
