Summary Anthropic introduces Claude Science, an AI research platform helping scientists analyze data, manage workflows and streamline complex scientific tasks.

(Reuters) - Artificial intelligence company Anthropic has launched Claude Science, an AI-powered platform designed to help scientists streamline research, analyze data and manage complex computing workflows.

The launch is part of Anthropic’s life sciences and healthcare initiative, which the company has been developing since October 2025 as it expands AI applications in scientific research.

Claude Science combines scientific databases, coding tools, computing resources and research workflows within a single workspace. According to Anthropic, the platform enables researchers to analyze scientific literature, conduct data analysis, generate figures and manuscripts, and trace research results back to their original code and computing environment.

The company said the platform comes pre-configured with more than 60 scientific databases and can generate scientific outputs, including 3D protein structures, genome browser tracks and chemistry diagrams.

Claude Science operates on Anthropic’s existing Claude AI models, which have undergone the company’s standard responsible scaling and biosecurity evaluations.

Anthropic said several research organisations and companies that tested the platform during its beta phase reported significant improvements in efficiency, highlighting the growing role of AI tools in accelerating scientific discovery and innovation.
