Summary Pakistan was named Country of Honor at the World Drone Congress, highlighting its growing role in digital innovation.

SHENZHEN (Dunya News) - Pakistan was awarded the distinction of “Country of Honor” at the 10th World Drone Congress 2026 held in Shenzhen.

More than 120 countries participated in the event, where Pakistan remained a key focus of attention.

Bilal Bin Saqib represented Pakistan at the congress.

In his keynote address, Bilal Bin Saqib thanked the organisers for naming Pakistan as the Country of Honor, describing the recognition as a reflection of growing global confidence in Pakistan’s digital and technological capabilities.

He said the convergence of drone technology, digitalisation and blockchain was transforming logistics and supply chains around the world.

According to him, the use of blockchain can make drone operations more secure, transparent and efficient.

Bilal Bin Saqib added that the integration of drones and blockchain technologies was creating new opportunities in smart cities, industrial monitoring and emergency response systems.

He said Pakistan was providing institutional support for the promotion of emerging technologies and innovation-driven industries.

The state minister noted that the World Drone Congress was opening new avenues for international cooperation in drone technology and digital assets.

He emphasised that technological innovation, regulatory harmonisation and industrial development were critical requirements for future growth.

Bilal Bin Saqib further said Pakistan was making progress in the fields of digital economy and virtual assets regulation, while stressing the need for greater innovation and global investment in the drone industry.
