NEW DELHI (Dunya News) – In reaction to the death sentence to convicted RAW spy Kulbhushan Jadav, India has decided not to play hockey with Pakistan in the upcoming tournament.

Indian media told that the decision by Indian authorities was made in light of the heated matter.

According to reports, the Indian Under-21 hockey team will not take part in the Sultan of Johor Cup in Malaysia because of Pakistan’s presence while the tournament is scheduled in October, this year. India has skipped the event for the second year in a row now.

Also, there were reports that the withdrawal was made due to 2014 Champions Trophy controversy and recent allegations by Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF).

An Indian hockey spokesperson RP Singh said that they had stood their ground to not take part in any series against Pakistan until the neighbouring country submits an unconditional apology for what happened in 2014.
