INCHEON South Korea (Web Desk) – Pakistan faced defeat in the final match at the Asian Games Men’s Hockey event at the hands of India by 4-2 in South Korea.

The match was decided over the penalty shoot-outs where Pakistani players missed 3 spectacular chances whereas India suffered a single miss at the penalty shoot-out guaranteeing the win.

India qualified for the Olympics 2016 after bagging the gold medal at the event whereas Pakistan would have to struggle through the qualifying rounds to secure a place in at the Olympics.

India and Pakistan last met in an Asiad final way back at New Delhi in 1982 where the Indians suffered a stunning 1-7 rout in front of their own fans that included the then prime minister Indira Gandhi.
